This morning, I woke up with the weirdest craving for fry sauce. Fry sauce, for those who do not know, is a mixture of mayonnaise and ketchup. That’s what I’ve always called fry sauce anyway. Let me know if you have a different definition of fry sauce. Or if it’s your first time every hearing about the concoction. Whenever I first started mixing the two, people called me weird and “disgusting” but then I heard it was actually a thing and felt vindicated. So yeah… Anyway, this morning I had the strangest craving for some fry sauce. Like, I woke up this morning and said to myself, “I could really go for some fry sauce. It’s been forever since I’ve had some.” And no, dear reader, I’m not pregnant. I had the plumbing removed a long time ago. It’s impossible for me to be in the family way. (I just wanted to get that notion out of people’s heads from the get-go.)
Now, one cannot just eat fry sauce by its lonesome. Well, I suppose one can, but it wouldn’t be a very filling meal. Hmmm, what to have with the fry sauce? Therein lies the dilemma. Well, I had some tator tots kicking around in my freezer. Problem solved. Ha! I figured I would make those in my toaster oven. No need to heat up the big oven for a handful of tator tots. Ya know? And, while those were heating up, I remembered my college Chic-fil-a days and how eggs went really well with their tots. So after I turned the tots over, I threw in a pan of eggs. Eggs bake pretty well in a toaster oven, y’all. And, of course I brewed some coffee while the whole thing baked. Easy-peasy.
And that, dear reader, is the exciting story of how I had eggs, tator-tots, and fry sauce for breakfast.
