Sharing my World with sniffles

‘Tis the first of March, dear reader. February has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Time moves like that sometimes. My allergies are still giving me troubles but I’m gonna give this my best shot. It might be short and sweet, or it might be long and rambling. Who knows? Let’s find out together. As always, head over to Melanie’s blog to see what other people have to say about this week’s questions. And without any further delay, let’s get crackin’.

Is every piece of truth worth telling? Nope. Some things are better left unsaid. Even if they are the cold, hard truth.

Whom do you miss more Freddy Mercury or Prince? Well I didn’t know either of them personally, so I don’t miss either of them at all. You can find their music anywhere, so their music did not die with them. There’s a saying that goes something like this: Everyone dies two deaths. The first, when their body dies. The second when the last person says their name. So long as people play the music of Freddy Mercury and Prince, they will never be truly dead. But I never “miss” people I’ve never met. I don’t mourn them because they were never a part of my life.

If you could only email or text people for the rest of your life (no other form of communication), which would you chose? If I had to chose between the two… email. any day of the week. I hate text messaging with every fiber of my being. I hate touch screens and they hate me. And with today’s technology, I can email someone and they’ll get it as a text message, so it all works out.

Would you prefer to work the midnight shift at a really creepy out of the way motel OR work alone for eternity? I’d work alone.

Bonus question because yes, these are a weird bunch this week: What’s one secret you’re still keeping from your immediate family? (no details required. You could say something like “The lost weekend in 1982”. You can also answer “Why I NEVER keep secrets from my nearest and dearest!”). If I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret. 😛

And that’s it for today. I’m wicked tired, and my allergies are still kicking my ass. Sorry no pictures today. I’m just gonna hang out for the rest of the day and try to breathe. I have a couple of loads of laundry that have been screaming at me for days now and I really need to get around to doing them. I’m conserving my energy for that. Take care, y’all.

  1. Thanks, Willow for taking some of your precious reserves to come and play along! I really appreciate the effort, because I ‘get’ it! Good luck with the laundry. Laundry is starting to seriously annoy me. Seems like I just do a load of it, and there’s another right there waiting for its turn. O_o Get some rest, and I hope the allergies die down a little!

    1. We don’t have a lot of laundry, just being the two of us, but the pets do tend to make things dirtier than they would be otherwise. Dirt and fur everywhere. 🙂 Gotta love ’em though.

  2. Great answers, especially the one about Freddie vs Prince where you mention people dying “two deaths.” I suppose it’s good to leave a legacy, easier for the rich and famous. But you are right – I don’t have to ‘miss’ John Lennon (more a favorite of mine than either of the abovementioned) because I can hear his music any time. In that way, he is immortal..

Hope you feel better soon, and get that laundry done!
